Lewis V. Gaines

Mr. Lewis V. Gaines, age 88 of Franklin, Ky., entered into rest Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 1:25 A. M. at the Hospice Center in Bowling Green, KY..
A native of Allen Co., Ky. he was the son of the late Curtis E. Gaines and the late Velma Mayhew Gaines.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Gaines, a sister Willa Brown of Franklin, KY., a brother-in-law Carline Brown of Franklin, Ky., a sister-in-law, a Helen Mitchell of Bowling Green, KY., a double first cousin Reba Bush of Franklin, KY. and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Gaines was a member of the Franklin First Baptist Church where he served as deacon and usher, served on several committees including the missions committee. He worked the polls during the election serving as a sheriff, supporter of Right to Life, Good Samaritan and a supporter of the Republican Party. He was a Navy veteran.
