Leonia Mae (Brown) Mallard

Mrs. Leonia Mae Mallard, age 85, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Sunday, January 15th, 2023 at 7:50 AM at her residence.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 18th at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

Leonia was born on October 17, 1937 in Mitchellville, TN to the late, James Allen Brown and the late, Elga (Hinton) Brown.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Mallard and a son, Chris Mallard.

She is survived by her 4 children, Linda Osborne of Franklin, KY, David Mallard (Peggy) of Portland, TN, Mike Jones (Etta) of London, KY and Kathy Giles (Tony) of Franklin, KY; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, George Brown (Sue) of Franklin, KY.

Leonia was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was retired from Tyco Manufacturing.  Leonia enjoyed playing bingo, fishing with her husband and listening to gospel music.
