Larry W. Maynard

A former Franklin, KY. resident, Dr. Larry W. Maynard age 79, of Okeechobee, FL., entered into rest, Monday, October 3, 2016 at the Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce, Fl.

Funeral services are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Larry’s wishes were to be cremated.

Dr. Maynard was born September 18, 1937 in Pikeville, KY. to the late Craft Maynard and the late Verlie Stewart Maynard.  He was preceded in death by a son Larry Keith Maynard.

He is survived by his wife Judy Maynard, children Larita Davidson of Bowling Green, KY., Brian Rohrs of Franklin, KY., daughter in law Ann Maynard of Franklin, KY., grandchildren Shawn Kurt Maynard (Whitney) of Palmetto, FL., Tyler Forest Davidson of Franklin, Ky., Lucas Wayne Davidson of Bowling Green, KY. and Brandon Keen of Franklin, KY., great grandchildren Connor and Kenleigh Davidson and Ellison Maynard, 4 brothers Gary A. Maynard of Marietta, Ga., Donald L. Maynard of Seffner, Fl., Rodney D. Maynard of Pikeville, KY. and Jeffrey K. Maynard of Goodlettsville, TN, 2 sisters Brenda C. Beavers of Frankfort, KY. and Deborah D. Baker of Lexington, KY.

Dr. Maynard was a member of the Church of Our Saviour Episcopal Church in Okeechobee, FL.  He was the longtime owner of Maynard Medical Clinic and Family Practice. Top attending physician for Vanderbilt University Hospital and St. Thomas Hospital, medical director Bowling Green E.R. and ambulance service and City-County Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky., began paramedic program in Bowling Green, KY and assisted other programs in the region and statewide.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM Thursday, October 13, 2016 and from 6:00 AM until 9:00 PM Friday, October 14, 2016 and from 6:00 AM until funeral service time Saturday.
