Mr. Larry W. Randolph, age 76, of Franklin, KY, entered into rest on Thursday, May 21st, 2020 at 11:35 PM at his residence.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 26th, 2020 at 6:30 PM, for extended family, at Calvary Baptist Church, 804 Church Street, Franklin, KY. A memory tree will be set up for friends under the carport, with notecards provided, to leave a sweet memory of Larry and the tree will remain there Friday, Saturday and Sunday that weekend for convenience.
Larry was born on September 19th, 1943 in Simpson County, KY to the late Johnny Randolph and the late Virginia Rose Wright Randolph. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Hope “Sissy” Maxwell.
He is survived by his lovely wife of 56 years, Patsy Scott Randolph; 3 sons, Todd Randolph (Susie) of Hendersonville, TN, Scott Randolph (Leslie) of Franklin, KY, and John Randolph (Alison) of Summerfield, NC; 7 grandchildren, Megan Randolph, Adam Randolph, Will Randolph, Jack Randolph, Woods Randolph, Sawyer Randolph and Drew Maxwell; a sister, Janice Moyers of Franklin, KY.
Larry graduated from Franklin-Simpson High School in 1961, where he loved playing on the JV and varsity football team and baseball team. He graduated from Western Kentucky State College, now WKU, in 1965 with a bachelor’s degree and began working for the Kendall Company in Franklin, KY where he worked for 35 years. Larry was also a farmer and he tended to crops, cattle and horses. He served as the South Magistrate of Simpson County from 1999-2019. While Magistrate, Larry served on numerous boards, the Hospital Board, the Franklin-Simpson Parks Board and the Ambulance Board. He served on the Franklin-Simpson School Board and was the Board Chairman. Larry also served on the Boys & Girls Club Board and helped get the Boys & Girls Club started. He coached Little League Baseball for many years. Larry was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
