Kenneth Ross Allen

Mr. Kenneth Ross Allen, age 67 of Franklin, KY, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, October 22, 2018 with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY with military honors by the Simpson County Honor Guard.

Kenneth was born December 7, 1950 in Logan Co., KY. to the late William Asbury Allen and the late Lucy Jane Branham Allen.  2 sisters Roberta Allen and Margie Spruell and 2 brothers Billy Allen and Roger Allen preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife Wanda Allen, 2 children Angela Beth Hatfield (Quin) of Greenville, SC and Phillip Ross Allen (Leslie) of Louisville, KY. grandchildren Acie Hatfield, Mae Harmon Hatfield, Knox Hatfield, Nathan Allen and Henry Allen, a brother Ronnie Allen of Indianapolis, IN, sisters Mary Owens of Franklin, KY, Patricia Allen of Greenwood, IN, Nancy Hicks of Franklin, KY, Peggy Lucas of Greenwood, IN and Karen Shoulders of Franklin, KY.

Kenneth was a member of the Drakes Creek Missionary Baptist Church and Salem Masonic Lodge.  He was retired from Kendall Company after 32 years and also worked at Tractor Supply.  He was Army Veteran.

Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, October 21, 2018 and from 6:00 AM until funeral service time on Monday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
