J.W. Dunn

Mr. J.W. Dunn, age 100 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Christian Health Center in Bowling Green, Ky.
A native of Simpson Co., Ky. he was the son of the late Sherwood Dunn and the late Maude Johnson Dunn. He was the husband of the late Olivia Link Dunn. He was preceded in death by a brother Douglas Dunn and a sister Ellenda Dunn.
He is survived by 3 nieces Sue Baird King, Ann Rose Richards and Lucy Link all of Franklin, KY., 2 nephews John Douglass Link of Titusville, Fl. and Robert Young Link of Franklin, KY. and special caregiver Carline Barnett.
Mr. Dunn was a member of the Franklin First Baptist Church. He retired after 33 years as an educator with the Simpson County School System. He began his teacher career in a one room school, served as Principal at the Franklin-Simpson High School and concluded his career as Director of Pupil Personnel and was a farmer. He graduated from Western Kentucky State Teachers College and received his masters degree at Peabody College. He graduated from officer's training school at the U.S. Coast Guard Acadamy in New London, Conn. and was a veteran of WWII.
