A former Clarksville, TN. resident, Mr. Joseph Terrill Weaks, age 69 of Greenbrier, TN., entered into rest Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 12:42 PM at his residence.

Arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 15, 2016 with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY. with military honors by the Simpson County Honor Guard.

Born August 20, 1946 in Stewart Co., TN., he was the son of the late Joseph Sidney Weaks and the late Lillian Manners Weaks Smith.  He was preceded in death by his stepfather James Virgil Smith and his parents-in-law Robert E. Johnson, Sr. and Bessie Coker Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Patricia Johnson Weaks, daughter Jeanetta Weaks Horn(Jesse) of Greenbrier, TN., 3 granddaughters Jessica Meador, Lyndsey Horn and Rachel Horn, a sister Angeline “Ann” Selph Osborne(Tom), nieces Angela Selph Marshall(Stefan) and Amy Selph Kelly(James) and step brother James Smith(Kathy).

Mr. Weaks was a member of the Carlisle Freewill Baptist Church, Saint Bethlehem Civitan Club, he was a graduate of Cumberland City High School in Stewart Co., TN., and Austin Peay State University with degrees in agriculture and biology.  He was retired from the state of Tennessee after 43 years working in Protective Services and Day Care Licensing and was an Army Veteran.

Visitation will be from 4:00PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 14, 2016 and from 6:00 AM until service time Friday at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home.
