John A. Link

Mr. John A. Link, age 93 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Tuesday, December, 22, 2009 at 5:15A.M. at the Medical Center in Franklin, KY.

A native of Simpson County, he was the son of the late Irving Link and the late Beulah Gillespie Link. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Douglass Young Link, sisters Sue Ellis Baird and Olivia Dunn, brother-in-law Duncan Young and sister-in-law Mildred Young Summers.

He is survived by his children John Douglass Link of Titusville, FL., Robert Young Link and Lucy A. Link both of Franklin.

3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and brother-in-law J. W. Dunn of Franklin. Nieces Sue Francis King and Ann Rose Richards both of Franklin and special care-givers Carline Barnett and Nancy Combow.

Mr. Link was a retired farmer and an Army veteran, member of the First Baptist Church and a former chairman of the Simpson County Board of Education. He worked many years for the Simpson County ASCS office and was a former member of the Franklin-Simpson Chamber of Commerce.
