John W Creekmore

Mr. John W. Creekmore, age 76, of Franklin, KY entered into rest Wednesday, July 8th, 2020, at 5:23 PM in Cross Plains, TN.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Saturday, July 11th, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home, Franklin, KY.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 11th, 2020 at 6:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home, Franklin, KY.  Military honors will be given by the Simpson County Honor Guard.  Mr. Creekmore’s wishes were to be cremated.

John was born on March 11th, 1944 in Elizabeth, NJ in Union County to the late John H. Creekmore and Susan E. Freehauf Creekmore.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Sharon Vaughn (Jimmie) of Cross Plains, TN, Amy Doss of Gallatin, TN and Casondra Creekmore (Will Rodriguez) of Cross Plains, TN; 4 grandchildren, Carrie Vaughn, Devin Kilmon, Mikey Doss and Charlie Rodriguez; 3 great-grandchildren, Johnston Kilmon, Janey Kilmon and Kingston McKinley.

John was a veteran of the US Army.  He served in the Viet Nam War.  John worked as a machinist/tool & die worker at the Kendall Company for many years.  He was a member of the VFW, Post#5706.  John loved old cars.
