John William Baker

Mr. John William Baker, age 73 , of Franklin, KY., died Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 1:11 AM at the Medical Center in Franklin, KY.

A native of Glasgow, KY., he was the son the late James Herriford Baker and the late Pearl Longabaugh Baker.


He is survived by his wife Polly Berry Baker of 52 years; 2 Daughters: Terri James and husband Rob of St. James City,FL. and Margie Hunter and husband David of Sparta, TN.; a sister Mary Lou Harrold of Jacksonville, FL. and a brother George Baker of Glasgow, KY.; a Grandson Robert James,IV, 2 step-Grandchildren; Lorie Broyles and husband Lee and Josh Hunter and wife Kara and a step-Great Grandchild Hunter Lee Broyles.


Mr. Baker was a farmer, employee of Tri-County Materials, PIC and Paradise Marine. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and past President of the Simpson County Farm Bureau.
