Jody Marie (Davis) Marsh

Ms. Jody Marie Davis Marsh, age 70, of Fort Washington, MD, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 10:58 PM at The Medical Center of Bowling Green, KY.

Ms. Marsh’s wishes were to be cremated with a Private Celebration of Life Service at a later date.

Jody was born on June 4, 1951 at the US Navy base in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba to the late James S. Davis, Sr. and the late Virginia Lou (Statler) Davis.  She is also preceded by a sister, Jennifer Jones and a brother, Jeffrey Davis.

She is survived by a daughter, Cara Herrington of Woodburn, KY; 2 granddaughters, Harley Holder and Heaven Holder both of Franklin, KY; a brother, James S. Davis, Jr (Nancy Summers) of Cape Coral, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jody earned an Associate’s Degree in Hospitality Management and was a retired Travel Agent.  She was of Presbyterian faith.  She volunteered for the Ronald McDonald House, Jaycee’s and her church.  She enjoyed mentoring to children, and participated in a volunteer program that comforts babies in various NICU’s.

Jody was a collector of things, was never one to pass up a good thrift store and had at least 7 of everything she swore she didn’t have.  Had hundreds of cookbooks but never cooked. Jody traveled all over and always made friends wherever she went. She enjoyed going to the movies and fine dining. At the end of the day the love of her life was the beach, nothing made her happier.  She loved her family and always was the glue that held it together.
