Joan Elizabeth Grace

Mrs. Joan Elizabeth Grace, age 83, of Franklin, KY, passed away Tuesday, February 4th, 2020 at 7:47 PM at her residence.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held Friday, February 7th, 2020 at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in Tyree Chapel Cemetery in Simpson County, KY.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 6th, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Friday, February 7th, 2020 from 6:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM here at Gilbert Funeral Home.

Joan was born on November 4th, 1936 to the late Charlotte McBride Dockus.  She was preceded in death by the father that raised her, John Dockus.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ervin Grace and 5 children, Johnny Grace, Charlotte Spivey, Bobby Forshee, Dicky Grace and Margaret Gosnell.

She is survived by 7 children, 2 daughters, Donna Phillips of Franklin, KY., Lottie Raines or Adolphus, KY., 5 sons, Larry Grace (Dorris) of Russellville, KY., Gary Grace (Rosemary) of Portland, TN., Donald Grace (Fay) of Franklin, KY., Kenny Grace (Robbie) of Dickson, TN., and Junior Grace (Tina) of Franklin, KY. and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Joan was a member of Tyree Chapel Church of Christ.  She loved watching game shows and playing cards.
