Jimmy Ray Uhls

Mr. Jimmy Ray Uhls, age 72, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 2:57 PM at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 10:00 AM CST to 2:00 PM CST at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service will be held the same day, Tuesday, January 14th, at 2:00 PM CST.

Jimmy was born on May 2, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Hugh Claude “Hop” Uhls and the late Mary Frances (Hauskins) Uhls.

He is survived by his wife of nine years, Frances Elizabeth (Cline) Uhls; three children, Jason Ray Uhls (Melanie) of Lexington, KY, Julie McGee of Franklin, KY and Clay Uhls (Heather) of Franklin, KY; three step-children, Shelly Simpson (Larry) of Adolphus, KY, Raymond Saylors II of Franklin, KY and John Saylors (Lynn) of Scottsville, KY; six grandchildren, Riley Uhls, Reed Uhls, Austin McGee, Michael McGee, Obadiah Uhls and Joel Uhls; five step-grandchildren, Dusten Saylors (Paige), Cameron Witt (Brittany), J.T. Saylors, Jacklyn Saylors and Shaina Saylors; seven step-great-grandchildren, Tanner Scott, Savannah Short, Paislee Saylors, Kaylee Witt, Kaysen Brady, Kinslee Brady and Willow Saylors; ten siblings, Hugh Gene Uhls (Barbara) of Columbus, GA, Carol Uhls (Debbie) of Clearwater, FL, Claude Richard Uhls (Susan) of New Deal, TN, his twin, Mary Halencak (David) of Franklin, KY, Rita Bradford, (Dennis) of Greenville, TN, Barbara Murray (Jerry) of Franklin, KY, Ann Uhls of Franklin, KY, Connie Spivey (Billy) of Franklin, KY, Terry Uhls of St. Petersburg, FL and Randy Uhls of Franklin, KY; many nieces and nephews; and extended grandchildren, Mia Yarbrough and Jason Yarbrough.

Jimmy attended Franklin Community Church in Franklin, KY. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, building things, being outdoors but probably most of all, making people laugh.
