Jerry Wayne Upchurch

Mr. Jerry Wayne Upchurch, age 88, of Franklin, KY passed away on Tuesday, October 4th, 2022 at 2:05 AM at the Franklin-Simpson Nursing and Rehab in Franklin, KY.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Faith Baptist Church, 1008 West Cedar Street, Franklin, KY.

Jerry was born February 23, 1934 in Pattonville, TX to the late Hurshel Upchurch and the late Viola (Finley) Upchurch. He was preceded in death by 6 siblings.

He is survived by his spouse of 69 years, Geneva Upchurch; 4 children, Debbie Mann (Gene) of Waco, TX, Gail Decker (Michael) of Franklin, KY, Jackie Upchurch (Chris) of McNeal, AZ, Julie Kozel (Mark) of Rocky Face, GA; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 5 siblings, Francis Davis of TX, Patsy Phillips of AL, Carolyn Steiner of OR, Rena Ledford of OR, Sandra Widner of OR.

Jerry was a member Faith Baptist Church in Franklin, KY.  He was retired from miner from the Phelps Dodge Mining Company in Arizona and from driving a truck.  Jerry enjoyed wood working and was a handyman.
