Jerry M. Dobbs
August 26, 1938 — January 25, 2016
Mr. Jerry Meguiar Dobbs, age 77 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Medical Center in Franklin, KY.
Arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 28, 2016 with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY. Military honors will be conducted by the Simpson County Honor Guard.
A native of Simpson Co., KY., he was the son of the late Jay B. Dobbs and Evelyn Meguiar Dobbs.
He is survived by his wife Ann Lewis Harris Dobbs, 3 sons: Jay Kevin Dobbs (Amy) of Owensboro, KY., Mark Robey Dobbs (Heidi) and Adam Taylor Dobbs (Myrianne) and a daughter Ann Meguiar Dobbs (Christopher) all of Franklin, KY.; 2 brothers Steve Dobbs (Missy) of Somerset, KY. and Joe Billy “Bill”Dobbs (Lydia) of Louisville, KY.; 6 grandchildren Jeremy, Jordan, Jack, John, Evelyn and Matthew Dobbs.
Mr. Dobbs was former vice president and general manager of Monarch Environmental. He was an Army veteran, a member of the First Baptist Church, Franklin Rotary Club, American Legion Post 62, F-S Quarterback Club and the Franklin Country Club.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Thursday at 6:00 AM until funeral service time at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home.
