Jeffery Wayne Martin

Mr. Jeffery Wayne Martin, age 52, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Friday, November 5th, 2021 at The Medical Center of Bowling Green, KY.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Beech Grove General Baptist Church Cemetery in Allen Co., KY.

Jeffery was born March 3, 1969 in Scottsville, KY. He was preceded in death by his father, Garnett Martin, foster father, Bobby “Joe” Howell, a son, Billy Wayne Martin, 2 brothers, William Martin and Ricky Martin and a foster sister, Kim Taylor.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Penny Martin, 2 children, Jeffery Wayne Martin, Jr. (Madison) of Franklin, KY and Joyce Louise Barton (Curtis) of Corbin, KY; foster mother, Wilma Howell; mother, Irene Martin; 7 siblings, Roger Martin (Lisa) of Scottsville, KY, Randy Martin of Scottsville, KY, Tracy of Scottsville, KY, Charlotte Cross of Simpson County, KY, Edna Brown of Scottsville, KY, Vonda of Scottsville, KY, Diane Wichard of Scottsville, KY; foster siblings, Shire Rippy, Richard Howell, Lisa Herrington, Jody Howell, Jamie Howell; several nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey was a 1989 graduate of Allen County High School and worked in maintenance with Sudden Service Corporation.  He enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, westerns, and also enjoyed fishing and working on lawn mowers.
