Jeff Smith

Mr. James Franklin “Jeff” Smith, age 62, passed away on February 28th, 2022 at his residence in Auburn, KY.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022 and from 6:00 AM until funeral service time on Wednesday at Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Simpson County, KY.

Jeff was born on May 19th, 1959 in Warren County, KY to the late, Everett Paul Smith and the also late, Mabel Stanley Smith. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Smith and his sister, Darlene Ramsey.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debbie Cook Smith; 1 son, Shaun Michael Smith (Jenna) of Franklin, KY; 2 grand-children, Jonaven Sandlin, Teegan Smith; 2 step grand-children, Aiden Lyons, Maggie Lyons; 6 siblings Paul Smith (Kathy) of Franklin, KY, John Smith (Diane) of Murfreesboro, TN, Kathy Smith of Bowling Green, KY, Everett P. Smith JR. of Bowling Green, KY, Richard Smith (Judy) of Auburn, KY, and Everly Mae Smith.

Jeff worked at New Mather Metals for 15 years. He enjoyed riding motor cycles and talking on his CB radio.
