Jaydee Kate DeGraffenreid

Ms. Jaydee Kate DeGraffenreid, age 17, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Monday, June 14th, 2021 at her residence.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 18th, 2021 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 303 East Cedar Street, Franklin, KY.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory and visitation on Friday, will be at First Baptist Church, from 11:00 AM till service time at 2:00 PM.

Jaydee Kate was born November 15, 2003 in Bowling Green, KY to the late James Edward “JD” DeGraffenreid and Kansie Michelle Moody, whom survives.  She is also preceded in death by her maternal great-grandfather, Bedford Esters; maternal great-grandparents, Jessie and Nettie Britt; paternal great-grandparents, Charles Wade and Dorothy DeGraffenreid; and an uncle, Shawn DeGraffenreid.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Kansie and Jody Moody of Franklin, KY; a brother, Cooper DeGraffenreid of Bowling Green, KY; a half-brother, Josh Gamble of Lexington, KY; maternal grandparents, Jeff Esters (Jennifer) of Gallatin, TN and Jeannie Kirby (David) of Franklin, KY; paternal grandparents, Alexis and Rick DeGraffenreid of Fordland, MO; step grandparents, Marty (Boone) Walker of Franklin, KY; maternal great-grandmother, Lorene Esters of Franklin, KY; step great-grandparents, Oleta and Bobby Dearing of Franklin, KY; 2 uncles, Kalan Esters (Olivia) of Bowie, MD and Baron DeGraffenreid (Tina) of Boliver, MO; an aunt, Ky’a Wheeler (Mark) of MO.

Jaydee Kate was a student at Franklin-Simpson High School, class of 2022.  She was a member of the Franklin-Simpson Track and Cross-Country team.  Jaydee Kate trained dogs for obedience.  She enjoyed being with her friends.
