Janie Mayeur (Rhea) Hall

Mrs. Janie Rhea Mayeur Hall, age 93, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Monday, June 6th, 2022 at 2:39 PM at the Tristar Hendersonville Medical Center of Hendersonville, TN.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM here at Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory.  Visitation will continue on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 6:00 AM until funeral service time.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Franklin, KY.

Janie was born on July 28, 1928 in Sumner County, TN to the late John Starrett Rhea and the late Lula Sydney Boyd Rhea.  She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Gerard Mayeur and James W. “Jim” Hall; 7 brothers, David Rhea, Alvis Rhea, James Rhea, Wendall Rhea, Bruce Rhea, Billy Rhea, and Donald Rhea; and 2 infant brothers.

She is survived by her 3 children, Stephen Gerard Mayeur (Polly) of Columbia, TN, John Anthony Mayeur (Melinda) of Franklin, KY and Gregory Alan Mayeur (Teresa) of Franklin, KY; 6 grandchildren, Jason Mayeur, Kacie Miller, Lucas Mayeur, Caleb Mayeur, Grace A. Mayeur and Gavin Mayeur; 2 step-granchildren, Chris Graves and Wes Graves; and 4 great-grandchildren, Cecilia Miller, Uryah Miller, Jack Mayeur and Avery Mayeur.

Janie was a member of First Baptist Church, Franklin, KY and of North Simpson Homemakers Club.  She was retired from Happyland at First Baptist Church.
