James "Jimmy" Hilton Phillips

Mr. James “Jimmy” Hilton Phillips, age 80, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green, KY.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  Visitation will continue on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 8:00 AM until 2:30 PM. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 2:30 PM at the funeral home with interment to follow in the Restlawn Memory Garden in Simpson County, KY.

Jimmy was born on December 9, 1942 in Simpson County, KY to the late James Neal Phillips and the late Ethel L. (Matherly) Phillips. He is also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Molly B. Phillips; grandson, Kyle Bowling; and 3 siblings, Bill “Ronnie” Phillips, Coletta Davis, and Janet Revuelta.

He is survived by 4 children, James Michael Phillips (Theresa) of Scottsville, KY, David Hilton Phillips (Bonnie) of Franklin, KY, Scotty Neal Phillips (Lisa) of Franklin, KY and Julie Eicher (Denny) of Bowling Green, KY; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; companion, Judy Gann; brother, Larry B. Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was retired from Weyerhauser.
