Mr. James E Dorris, II, age 47 of Cookeville, TN. formerly of Portland, TN., entered into rest Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 12:05 A. M. at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN.
A native of Sumner Co., TN., he was the son of the late H.B. "Jack" Ditmore and the late Dorothy Jewell Hicks Ditmore.
He is survived by his wife Karen Dorris, 6 children Sarah Dumanski(Alex) of Waltham, Mass., Brook Clifford and Ben Clifford both of LaGrange, KY., Joshua Dorris of Franklin, KY., Scott Phipps (Kim) of Dunlap, TN. and Wes Phipps of Cookeville, TN., 3 brothers Ronald Herrington of Gloucester, VA., Phillip Herrington of Scottsville, Ky. and Garrel Herrington of Muscle Shoals, AL., 2 sisters Penny Brown of Franklin, KY. and Linda Witt of Scottsville, KY., 2 grandchildren Colton and Lola Phipps.
Mr. Dorris was a member of the El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and was a salesman.
