James Holler Ford

Mr. James Holler Ford, age 77 of Scottsville, KY passed away on December 4th, 2022 at the Hospice House of Southern KY in Bowling Green, KY.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 6th, 2022 at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral Services will be held on the same day at 2:00 PM with internment to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY with military rights by the Simpson County Honor Guard.

James was born on January 11th, 1945 in Tonawanda, NY to the late Ben Hall Ford and the late Betty Mary Ford. He is also preceded in death by 3 siblings, Pat Ford, Mary Ford and William Ford.

He is survived by 4 children; Daniel Ford (Joanie), Brandon Ford (Heather) and Joshua Ford (Cara) all of Scottsville, KY and Wendy Barber of Bowling Green, KY; 8 grandchildren, Dani, Gracyn, Tyler, Allison, Trace, Brittany, Ryan and River; 7 siblings, Dan Ford, Montrose, CO, Sharon Gammon, Mike Ford, Janice Jones, Richard Ford, Thomas Ford and Jack Ford all of Franklin, KY and 2 nieces and several nephews.

James was a veteran of both the United States Army and the United States Air Force. He was a retired woodworker and enjoyed spending time with his family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
