James "Jimmy" Estes

Mr. James “Jimmy” Estes, age 71 of Franklin, KY. entered into rest Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 3:54 PM at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 15, 2015 with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.
He was born May 16, 1943 in Warren Co., KY. to the late James Lloyd Estes and Ova Pearl Price Estes. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Robert “Bear” Estes and Ruble “Doc” Estes, 2 sisters Betty Estes Miller and Edna Mae Estes, 2 half sisters Vertrice Judy Jackson and Jenny Moss Menillo and a nephew Donnie Miller.
He is survived by his wife Vera Maye Burden Estes, a daughter Debra “Debbie” Estes Strickland of Franklin, KY., stepson Timothy W. Phelps of Franklin, Ky., 7 brothers John, Paul, Garland and Ernest Estes all of Franklin, Ky., William Estes of Indianapolis, IN., Lonnie Estens of Woodburn, KY. and Mark Estes of Westmoreland, TN., 3 sisters Lucy Estes of Franklin, KY., Shirley Perdue of Westmoreland, TN. and Carol Perdue of Oak Grove, TN., a half sister Magalene Padgett of Indianapolis, IN., several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends.
Mr. Estes worked for Paul Kelly Farms for 25 years and the Franklin Country Club for 25 years.
Visitation will begin a 4:00 PM. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 and from 6:00 AM until funeral service time on Wednesday at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home.
