James Lee Brown

Mr. James Brown, age 69 of Franklin, KY passed away on December 3rd, 2022 at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10th at 1:00 PM with interment to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

James was born on August 13, 1953 in Clinton County, KY to the late Ewell Kedith Brown and the late Margie Elizabeth (Dickerson) Brown.  He is also preceded in death by 3 siblings, Leonard Brown, Linda Riddle and Mary Helen Slack Roberts.

He is survived by 6 siblings, Rosie Jones, Hazel Wood, Doug Brown, Ida Slack and David Brown all of Franklin, KY and Wanda Baer of Fairfield, MT; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

James was a member of Franklin Church of the Nazarene.  He enjoyed blackberry picking, mushroom hunting, truck and tractor pulls, and listening to bluegrass and gospel music.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 325 West Cedar Street, Franklin, KY to help with Mr. Brown’s final expenses.
