James Kenneth Alford

Mr. James Kenneth Alford, age 72 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 11:20 PM at Auburn Health Care in Auburn, KY.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2016 with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

A native of Allen Co. KY., he was the son of the late James Wilburn Alford and the late Josephine Hicks Alford Yates.  He was preceded in death by his son James Kenny Alford, granddaughter Dana Alford, sister Pam Alford, 2 brothers Danny Alford and Jimmy Alford.

He is survived by 2 daughters Carol A. Carver (Wayne) and Kim Blackburn (James) all of Franklin, KY.; 4 sisters Faye Cantrell, Barbara Byrum, Brenda Hyde all of Franklin, KY. and Vickie Kluck of Portland, TN.; a brother Ricky Alford of Franklin, KY.; 2 step sisters Debbie Carver of Franklin, KY. and Wanda Dailey of Birmingham, AL.; 5 grandchildren Kenneth Carver, Whitney Carver, J. R. Blackburn, Jamie Blackburn, Jasmine Blackburn and 7 great grandchildren.

Mr. Alford was a retired employee of Central Steel Products.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM until funeral service time Wednesday at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home.
