Howard Dennis Spears

Mr. Howard Spears, age 95 of Auburn, KY., entered into rest Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 12:18 PM at the Franklin-Simpson Nursing and Rehab Center in Franklin, KY.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 7, 2016 with burial to follow in the Hillsdale Cemetery in Simpson Co., KY.

A native of the Hilllsdale Community in Simpson Co. KY., he was the son of the late Will Payne and the late Blanche Middleton Payne.  He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Hall Spears, daughter-in-law Wanda Spears and sisters Evelyn Barnes, Eva Finn, Sue Henson Cline and Bernadine Bush.

He is survived by four sons Ronnie Spears, Lanny Spears (Helen) all of Franklin, KY. and Ricky Spears and Randy Spears (Tyra) all of Bowling Green, KY.; four step-children Mike Hadden of Auburn, KY., Susan Young of Bowling Green, KY., Kevin Hadden (Michelle) of Alvaton, KY. and Pat  Hadden of Franklin, KY.;  22 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Mr. Spears was a member of the Hillsdale Missionary Baptist Church.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM until funeral service time at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home.
