Henry Coleman Pitt

Mr. Henry Coleman Pitt, age 90 of Orlinda ,TN, entered into rest Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 1:03 AM at his residence.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held Friday, April 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Providence Baptist Church with burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery in Simpson Co., KY.

Mr. Pitt was born November 25, 1927 in Springfield, TN to the late Robert Ollie Pitt and the late Rosa Selina Warren Pitt.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn Cauley Pitt of  71 years,  2 daughters Wanda Gayle Atkinson of Springfield, TN and Debbie Parks of Orlinda, TN; 4 sons Robert Pitt (Bonnie) of Alvaton, KY, Leon Pitt and James Pitt (Nancy) all of Springfield, TN and Mike Pitt (Shelia) of Orlinda, TN; 4 sisters Lois Cooley and May Lewis both of Indianapolis, IN, Linda Boyles of Cross Plains, TN and Mary Pitt of White House, TN; 2 brothers Ricky Pitt of Franklin, KY and Clois Pitt of Springfield, TN; 12 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Pitt was a farmer and a lifetime member of the Providence Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for over 50 years.  He was a member of the Franklin Simpson Gideons.

Visitation will begin Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM until 8:00PM and 6:00 AM until 8:00AM Friday at Gilbert Funeral Home.  There will be visitation at 9:00 AM until funeral service time at the church.
