Helen Maxine Marlow Whitler (93), passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the White House Health Care Center. She is survived by two daughters, Rachel Tugon (Pete) of Prospect, Kentucky, and Debbie Higginbotham (Rick) of Franklin, Kentucky. She also has three granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
Maxine was born on June 9, 1929 in Fordsville, Kentucky, to the late John Walker Marlow and the late Edith Wilson Marlow. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Whitler, her sister, Rachel Marlow Cooper, and her brother, John Mark Marlow.
Maxine led a life filled with service to others and was known for her warm smile, her hard-working spirit, and her bright laugh. She was an active member of Woodland Church in Middletown, Kentucky, where she attended until moving to Franklin. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
Maxine’s wishes were to be cremated with no traditional service. The immediate family will memorialize her privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Maxine asked that any donations be made to the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research at www.fpwr.org. There is a donation tab on the home page and a place to leave a message stating that the donation is in her honor.
