Mrs. Hattie Faye Morrison, age 76 of Russellville, KY., entered into rest Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 6:45 PM at the Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville, KY.
Arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the Post Oak Baptist Church in Russellville, Ky. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 4, 2016 at the Springfield Memorial Gardens in Springfield, TN.
She was born in Olmstead, Ky. on November 17, 1939 to the late Raymond Adams and the late Marie Knuckles. She was preceded in death by 2 half brothers James and Wayne Bailey.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dallon E. Morrison, Sr., her daughters Lois Brown (Tony) of Murfreesboro, TN., Joyce Carneal (John) of Russellville, KY., her sons Dallon E. Morrison, Jr. of Smyrna, TN. and Donald Morrison of Old Hickory, TN, a sisters Jane Cherry of Franklin, KY. and Eula Mae Lerch of Goliad, TX., 3 half sisters and 2 half brothers, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Morrison was a member of the Post Oak Baptist Church, was a homemaker, a Colonel-Aide De Camp on the Governor’s Staff for State of Tennessee and an Honorary Captain on the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Other than being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she loved being involved with law enforcement and was proud to have served as a Juvenile Referee for Sumner County, TN.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until service time Sunday at the Post Oak Baptist Church in Russellville, KY.
