Harvey K. Clendining, Jr

Mr. Harvey K. Clendining, Jr. age 78 of Franklin, Ky. died at 6:20 P.M. Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the Medical Center in Franklin, Ky.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Delene Hunt Clendining, special family, Mike, Kristie and Audra Stratton all of Franklin, Ky., special Aunt Ruby Ramsey of Gallatin, TN., and a special friend and caregiver Debbie Drake-Davis and several cousins.
Mr. Clendining was a member of the Franklin Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder, American Legion Post #62, VFW Post 5706, he was named Outstanding Young Farmer of Kentucky in 1963, Served on the Board of Directors at the Simpson Co. Bank from 1978-1987, Union Planters Bank from 1987 – 1998, Franklin Country Club and was selected Outstanding Young Men of America in 1965. He was a retired farmer, former owner of the A & H Farm and A&H Dairy. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War where he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal with 3 battle stars, United Nations – Korean Medal, ROK – War Service, Air Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation and Crew Member Wings.
