Harriet Ann (Booker) Cummings

A former Franklin, KY native, Mrs. Harriet Ann Booker Cummings, age 73, of Lebanon, TN, passed away on Thursday, June 18th, 2020 at 12:15 PM at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center of Nashville, TN.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 20, 2020.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM Saturday, additional visitation will follow the service until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Harriet was born November 11, 1946 in Franklin, KY to the late Harry Booker and the late Jo Evelyn Booker.  She is preceded in death by a sister Linda Booker and a brother Billy Joe Booker.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, James “Jim” Cummings of Lebanon, TN, 2 sons, Jerry Searcy (Kim) of Bowling Green, KY and Joel Searcy (Misti) of  Danville, VA, a step son, Brad Cummings (Jamie) of Franklin, KY, a brother Bobby Booker of Bartlett, TN, 7 grandchildren, Jared, Jake, Kaylee, Adam and Kara Searcy, Jacee Cummings and Cassadee Cummings.

Harriet was a member of the Cooks Methodist Church in Mt. Juliet, TN.  She was a retired public health nurse consultant for the state of Tennessee.

She loved making memories with her family and taking care of people.  She was known for her baking skills, winning her many blue ribbons at the Wilson County Fair.
