Mr. Gary Lee Halbakken, age 69 of Franklin, Ky., entered into rest Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 5:12 P.M. at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.
A native of Detroit Lakes, MN. he was the son of the late Bill Halbakken and Helen Anderson Halbakken. He was preceded in death by 2 children Lisa and Gary Halbakken, Jr. and 2 brothers Huck and Billy Halbakken.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Linda Sue Huffines Halbakken, 3 children Vic Huntsman of Franklin, Ky. Melissa Jean "Missy" Huntsman Putnam of Nashville, TN., Ricky Halbakken of Kendallville, IN.3 brothers Dale Halbakken of Fort Wayne, IN., Ronnie Halbakken of Detroit Lakes, MN. and Chuck Halbakken of Hawley, MN. and 3 grandchildren.
Mr. Halbakken was the former owner of Franklin Painting in Franklin, TN. and was an Army Veteran.
