Freddie Roy Delk

Mr. Freddie Roy Delk, aged 75, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Friday, September, 10, 2021 at 3:57 PM at the Medical Center of Bowling Green, KY.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, Franklin, KY.  There will be no service.  Mr. Delk’s wishes are to be cremated after visitation and his ashes will be interred at Sulphur Spring Cemetery, Simpson County, KY.

Freddie was born on January 4, 1946 in Simpson County, KY to the late Ray “Pete” Delk and the late Cora Copeland Delk.  He is also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Larry Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Ella M. Delk; 3 step-children, Cynthia A. Gilley of Spring Hill, TN, Mark L. Hughes (Brenda) of Cocoa Beach, FL and Kenneth L. Hughes (Patsy) of Louisville, KY; 2 brothers, Jackie Delk of Franklin, KY, Danny Delk (Debbie) of Franklin, KY; and 1 sister, Betty Jones of Franklin, KY; 6 grandchildren, Emiley Vogt, Paul Gilley, Daniel Gilley, Jonathan Hughes, Rachael Ritter and Zachary Hughes; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Freddie was a member of New Hope Church in Simpson County, KY.  He worked at the Kendall Company and Sizemore Security.
