Ernest Stanley Estes

Mr. Ernest Estes, age 61, of Franklin, KY passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 6:40 PM at the Hospice House of Southern KY, in Bowling Green, KY.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, April 7th, 2022 and from 6:00 AM until funeral service time on Friday at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Ernest was born on September 21st, 1960 in Bowling Green, KY to the late James Loyd Estes and the late Ova Pearl (Price) Estes. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Edna Mae Estes, Ruble “Doc” Estes, Betty Miller, James “Jimmy” Estes, Bear Estes, 2 half sisters, Judy Jackson, and Jenny Menillo.

He is survived by his daughter, Mikaela Estes, of Franklin, KY, siblings: Lonnie Estes, of Woodburn, KY, John Estes (Wanda), Paul Estes ( Kathy), Garland Estes (Sandra), and Lucy Estes all of Franklin, KY, William Estes, Mark Estes, Shirley Perdue (Alton) and Carolyn Perdue (Will) all of TN, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ernest was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Franklin, KY, a graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School, and a retired machine operator of Berry Plastics. He was an avid UK fan, enjoyed collecting UK memorabilia, singing, and spending time with his daughter and friends.
