Elise Slate Jones

Mrs. Elise Slate Jones, 93 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Sunday, December 22, 2010 at 4:00 A.M. at the McKendree Village Health Care in Hermitage, TN.

A native of Simpson County, KY. she was the daughter of the late D.E. Slate and late Gardie Newman Slate.  She was the wife of the late Ben F. Jones, Jr.

She is survived by a daughter Betty F. Gentry and her husband Bill of Franklin, KY., 3 sons Richard A. Jones and his wife Shirley of Hermitage, TN., Pat Jones and his companion Linda Chaney of Franklin, KY. and David M. Jones and his wife Patty of Nolansville, TN., 8 Grandchildren Betsy Wynn, Bethany Hardcastle, Corey Jones, Tim Jones, Troy Jones, Tiffany Jones, Jennifer Jones and Stephen Jones and 8 Great Grandchildren.

Mrs. Jones was a member of the First United Methodist Church and an avid bridge player.  She was a homemaker and did alterations for the National Store and Watlands Lad and Dad and volunteered work at Moore’s Drug Store.
