Mrs. Edith Mae Cliburn, age 93 of Franklin, KY, entered into rest Saturday, April 14, 2018 at The Hearth at Hendersonville, TN. She was just 4 days short of being 94.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 21, 2018. A private family interment will be held later in the afternoon at the Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery in Macon Co., TN.
Mrs. Cliburn was born April 18, 1924 in Macon Co., TN to the late Elmer Gilbert Trammel and the late Ella Mae Hudson Trammel. She was the wife of the late Jasper Nolan Cliburn. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
She is survived by 2 sons Mike Cliburn (Rosemary) of Mount Dora, FL and Charles Cliburn (Penny) of Gallatin, TN, 3 grandchildren - Shann Cliburn, Chad Cliburn (Kacey) and Josh Cliburn, a great grandson Grant Cliburn and a step granddaughter Amy Decker.
Mrs. Cliburn was a long-time member of the Bethany Church of Christ. After moving into town, she became a member of the Franklin Church of Christ. She worked at Potter & Brumfield and as a homemaker. She did beautiful needle point, crocheting, knitting and quilting. She also went on over 100 Campaigns for Christ in the United States and around the world to share her faith.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, April 20, 2018 and from 10:00 AM until service time Saturday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
