Edith Mai (Wheeler) Blaylock

Mrs. Edith Wheeler Blaylock, age 84, of Franklin, KY, passed away Friday, January 1st, 2021 at 10:05 PM at her residence.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home, Franklin KY.  Visitation will be held on Monday, January 4th, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021 from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021 at 1:00 PM with burial to follow at Wheeler Family Cemetery in Simpson County.

Edith was born on June 30, 1936 in Simpson County to the late Jimmy Wheeler and Martha Wheeler.  She is also preceded in death by a son, Charles; a daughter, Reva Denise Herrick; siblings, Fred Wheeler, Henry Wheeler, Thomas Wheeler, Tippy Mince and Betty Wheeler.

She is survived by Husband of 39 years Roger Blaylock; 2 children, Dale Blaylock (Ashley) of Franklin, KY and Damon Blaylock (Patricia) of Franklin, KY; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a son-in-law, Matthew Herrick of Franklin, KY; a sister-in-law, Frances Wheeler of Franklin, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Edith was a member of United Pentecostal Church in Simpson County.  She worked as a waitress for many years.  Edith loved to sew and made many of her clothes.
