Doug Turner

Mr. Doug Turner, age 84, of Franklin, KY., died Friday, February 20, 2009 at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green, KY.
A native of Franklin, Ky. he was the son of the late Homer D. Turner and the late Bessie Lee Grayson Turner. He was the husband of the late Nellie Inez Turner. Preceded in death by a brother Melvin Turner.
He is survived by 3 Sons Larry Turner, Jodie Turner and Randy Turner and his wife Cayce all of Franklin, Ky., 1 Daughter Melissa Manley and her husband Dale of Bowling Green, Ky., 2 brothers James and Marvin Turner both of Franklin, Ky., 13 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Mr. Turner was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as custodian for many years, he was also former owner of the Turner Grocery. Mr. Turner was a WWII Navy veteran and was a member of the VFW Post 5706 and American Legion Post #62.
