Mrs. Dorothy Jewel Hicks Ditmore of Portland, TN., formerly of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Sunday, December 19, 2010 at 12:10 P.M. her home.
A native of Franklin, KY. she was the daughter of the late Dillard Palo Hicks and late Rebecca Ann Harp Hicks. She was the wife of the late H.B. “Jack” Ditmore. She was preceded in death by a sister Vallie Shoulders, 2 brothers Johnny Hicks and Elmer Lee Hicks.
She is survived by 2 daughters Linda Witt and her husband Phillip of Scottsville, KY. and Penny Brown of Franklin, KY., 4 sons Ronald Herrrington and his wife Carolyn of Gloucester,VA., Garrel Herrington of Townscreek, Alabama, Phillip Herrington and his wife Darlene of Scottsville, KY. and James Dorris and his wife Karen of Portland, TN., 17 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granddaughter.
Mrs. Ditmore was a Baptist and former co-owner of Ditmore Boarding House in Portland, TN.
