Donald Glen Sweatt

Mr. Donald Glen Sweatt, age 64, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023 at 5:41 AM at the TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, November 12th from 6:00 AM until service time at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 12th, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with interment to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

Donald was born on October 17, 1959 in Indianapolis, IN to the late William Roscoe Sweatt and Dorothy (Marlin) Sweatt who survives of Mitchellville, TN.

He is also survived by his wife of 42 years, Dora Sweatt; 2 siblings, Ricky Sweatt (Patricia) of Portland, TN, Janice Atkinson of Mitchellville, TN; nephew, Tyler Atkinson; 4 nieces, Sarah Atkinson, Laura Mooneyhan, Jennifer Graves, Kelly Sweatt and his pets, Tinker Bell and Jackson.

Donald was a member of the Blue Door General Baptist Church in Mitchellville, TN.  He retired after 32 years from PMC Gauge working as a machinist.  Donald enjoyed visiting the Smokey Mountains, camping, wood working and was a very loving person and made friends with everyone.
