Mr. Donald “Don” Lynn Inman, age 74, of Bowling Green, KY. entered into rest Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 3:21 PM at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 23, 2017 with burial to follow in the Sulphur Spring Cemetery in Simpson Co., KY.
A native of Coral, MI. he was the son of the late Harold D. Inman and the late Gertrude Nopkert Inman. He was preceded in death by 4 sisters Betty Hansen, Dee Streeter, Sharon Mortenson and Vicki Smith; 5 brothers Harold, Bob, Ken, Roger and Russell Inman; grandson Zachary Perasso.
He is survived by his wife Dianne Lynn Inman of Bowling Green, KY. and “Buddy” Don’s best friend, 6 daughters Shannon McNaron (Steve) of Hermitage, TN., Wendy Backing of Belding, MI., Renee Spivey (Jason) of Franklin, KY., Julie Dorr (David) of Hawaii, Lynn Moe of Grand Rapids, MI. and Michelle VanDyke (Rusty) of Sand Lake, MI.; 3 sons Rod Inman (Sue) of Pierson, MI., Brian Inman (Kristin) of Sand Lake, MI. and Jack Tompkins, Jr. of Bowling Green, KY.; 24 grandchildren Timothy and Michael McNaron, Samantha Edwards, Meagan Carroll, Andrew, Allen and Katelynn Backing, Bridget, Matthew, Josie, Lucas, Victoria Inman, Quinton Taylor, Cameron and Keirsten Spivey, Dale Perasso Jr., Travis Perasso, Cody and Conner Moe, Brittney Daugherty, Chelsea Fillingham, Rachel, Luke, Jordon VanDyke; 6 great grandchildren Joey and Jessica Carroll, Connor McNaron, Tanner, Jaxon and Parker Perasso;
6 sisters Mary Arerille (Jack), Nancy Bassett (Jerry) all of Cedar Springs, MI., Judy Baker and Sandy Kilmartin (Joe) all of Charlevoix, MI. and Barb Losinger (Carl) of Howard City, MI.; a brother Dale Inman (Karen) of Howard City, MI.; sister-in-law Nancy Inman of Rockford, MI. and brother-in-law Dick Mortenson of Texas, several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Inman was a retired employee of the General Motors Corp., a retiree of the City of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation and currently employed at ABC Auctions. He was an avid gambler, loved camping and building games and other woodworking projects for his grandchildren.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and from 6:00 AM until funeral service time Thursday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
A ”Celebration of Life” will be held in the summer in Michigan.
