Dillard Hicks

Mr. Dillard Hicks, age 82, of Franklin, KY passed away on Tuesday, April 13th, 2021 at 12:53 PM in Franklin, KY, at his residence.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 18th from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  After visitation Mr. Hicks wishes were to be cremated.  No funeral service will be held.

Dillard was born on September 2nd, 1938 in Simpson County, KY to the late William Amos Hicks and the late Mary B. (Richardson) Hicks Rigsby.  He is also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Jane Hicks; a grandson, Eric Shumate; and 11 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by 3 children, Kristi Calvert of Franklin, KY, Mark Hicks of Franklin, KY and Sandra Shumate of Franklin, KY; a daughter-in-law, Tina Hicks Vaughn of Franklin, KY; 7 grandchildren, Amy Hicks Ross, Cassie Haley, Brandon Austin, Brittany Pearson, Amber Hall, Zachary Reece, Devin Reece; 19 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Dillard was retired from Franklin Aluminum.  He loved antique cars.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy are to be made to Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 325 West Cedar Street, Franklin, KY. 42134 to help with Mr. Hick’s final expenses.
