Mrs. Dianna M. Sandoval, age 73, of Bowling Green, KY passed away at 10:35 pm on May 10, 2024 at her residence while surrounded by her loving family. In accordance with Mrs. Sandoval’s wishes, she will be cremated & a private memorial service will be held in the near future.
She was born in Sacramento, CA on December 14, 1950 to the late Joe Garcia & the late Marianne Molly (Montano) Ledesma. She was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard Garcia & her husband Richard Crabtree.
Dianna spent the first three years of her life in the hospital as she battled tuberculosis & was raised, along with her three brothers, by her mother, grandmother & Aunt Lily in Southern California. As a young woman, she studied nursing at Merced College in California & later worked in various healthcare positions as well as spending a long career as a sales associate at Montgomery Ward while raising her four children in Southern California. Upon the death of her husband, Richard, Dianna moved to Kentucky & got to spend the final few years of her life alongside her children & many of her grandchildren.
Dianna was a member of the Roman Catholic Church & was loved for her kind nature, smile & light-hearted sense of humor. She loved her dog, drawing, dining out, shopping, playing board games & her family, especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren. No one could put a smile on a little one’s face as fast as Grandma &, to the end, she took great delight in each & every one of her sweet babies.
Dianna is survived by four children: Johnny Garcia of Marion, OH, Myrianne Dobbs (Adam) of Franklin, KY, Vanessa Salazar (Bobby) of Bowling Green, KY, Lawrence Sandoval (Debbie) of Beechmont, KY as well as her stepdaughter Misty Crabtree of Eugene, OR. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Gilbert Navarro (David) & Efrain Garcia (Dolores) & her faithful dog Brooster.
