Delmer Linford Sexton

Ms. Delmer Linford Sexton, age 93, of Rockfield, KY passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 6:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Whites Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Drake, KY.

Delmer was born on July 28, 1930 in Onita, TN to the late Frank Sexton and the late Hattie Izillah (Acers) Sexton. He is also preceded in death by 3 grandchildren.

He is survived by 4 children, Dianne Hughett (Ricky) of Indianapolis, IN, Delmer Monroe Sexton (Brenda Sue) of Drake, KY, Dewayne Sexton of Rockfield, KY and Brenda G. Stradtner (Danny) of Rockfield, KY; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Delmer was a retired truck driver. He was a musician in a bluegrass music band.
