David Anthony McClain

Mr. David Anthony McClain, age 52, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Monday, July 26th, 2021 in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 29th at 2:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory with burial to follow at Peden Mill Cemetery in Simpson County, KY.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 28th from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and from 6:00 AM to until funeral service time on Thursday.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy are to be made to Peden Mill Cemetery.  Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.

David was born on June 25, 1969 in Portland, TN to the late Clifford Bryan McClain, Sr. and Lendria Gregory McClain, whom survives.  He is also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Mildred Gregory and his paternal grandparents, Marshall and Clara McClain.

He is survived by his mother, Lendria Gregory McClain; his Longtime Companion, Sonia Hamilton; 1 sister, Patricia Powell (Jerry) of Scottsville, KY; 4 brothers Clifford Bryan McClain, Jr. of Franklin, KY, John Marshall McClain of Franklin, KY, Raymond McClain (Jay) of Portland, TN and Michael McClain (Shelly) of Japan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

David was a member of Fairview Baptist in Franklin, KY.  He was employed by Summer’s Farms in Simpson County, KY.  David enjoyed working on cars in his shop and seeing antique cars.
