Mr. Dale Morgan Minnicks, age 70 of Springfield, TN. entered into rest Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 3:00 AM at the Northcrest Medical Center in Springfield, TN.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 27, 2017. Mr. Minnicks wishes were to be cremated.
Dale was born October 17, 1946 to the late Albert and Doris Harris Minnicks.
He is survived by his wife Joan Minnicks, a son Adam B. Minnicks of Eagle River, AK, a sister Sandra L. Minnicks Jones of FL., 2 nephews Bryan Russell and Michael Clapp and a niece Gina Moore and 2 great nephews and 1 great niece.
Dale was born and raised in Simpson Co., KY. until he entered the U.S. Air Force in Jan. of 1969 and was honorably discharged after 20 years of service. Dale spent 26 years in Alaska and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He served as President of the state of Alaska Fish & Wildlife Safeguard under the direction of the Alaska State Troopers for 13 years. He is a lifetime member of the NRA and Am Vets and was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Springfield, TN.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Gilbert Funeral Home.
