Chester Ray Lile

Mr. Chester Lile, age 68, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 25th, 2021 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM and on Monday, April 26th from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, Franklin, KY.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 26th, 2021 at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

Chester was born on September 8, 1952 in Hart County, KY to the late William Lile and Prudie Jane Heath Lile.  He is also preceded in death by 4 siblings, Pamela, William, Steve and Mike.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Judy (Gregory) Lile, 3 children, Christy Hicks of Franklin, KY, Stephanie Yates of Franklin, KY and Stacy Keen (Daniel) of Franklin, KY; 7 grandchildren, Trenton Hicks, Kelsey Yates, Josh Downey, Kesha Downey, Bryson Holder, Brooklyn Holder and Justin Payne; 5 great-grandchildren, Brayden, Kinglen, Sophia, Leighton and Collins; 3 brothers, Butch Lile, Kevin Lile (Sandy) and Roger Lile (Ruby); 5 sisters, Kim Bishop, Debbie Dalrymple (Lou), Sheryl Latham, Robin Adwell (Doug) and Becky Bush (Sam); several nieces and nephews; and his fur baby Mollie Marie.

Chester attended Hillvue Heights Church in Bowling Green, KY and West Madison Baptist Church in Franklin, KY.  He retired from Berry Plastics after 50 years of employment. He was a supervisor.  Chester was secretary and treasurer for the Simpson County Game and Fish Club.  He loved to fish and camp.  Chester enjoyed working on his old Chevy Nova.  He was a proud member of the NRA.
