Chester Ward Kirby

Mr. Chester Ward Kirby, age 91 of Franklin, KY. entered into rest Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 6:50 AM at his caregiver’s home in Franklin KY.
Services are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY. with military honors by the Simpson County Honor Guard.
A native of Woodburn, KY. he was the son of the late Henry Chester Kirby and the late Effie Ellen Jones Kirby. He was the husband of the late Pauline Summers Kirby.
He is survived by 4 nieces Mary Mims, Sue Forshee, Jolene Thurman and Tammy Summers all of Franklin, KY., 3 nephews Howard Rich and Gary Summers both of Franklin, KY. and Mike Summers of Russellville, KY., a cousin Louise Summers of Franklin, KY.
Mr. Kirby was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church and had attended the Round Pond Presbyterian Church. He was retired farmer and a WWII Navy Veteran.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home.
