Charles Edwards

Mr. Charles Edwards, age 96, of Franklin, KY, passed away Wednesday, January 29th 2020 at 6:20 AM at the Medical Center in Franklin.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 2nd, 2020 with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, February 1st 2020 and from 6:00 AM until service time Sunday at Gilbert Funeral Home.

Charles was born December 29th 1923 in Simpson Co. KY to the late Irvin Edwards and the late Ethel Jane Link Edwards. He was the husband of the late Mary Agnes Jones Edwards.

Charles is survived by his daughter; Anne E. Gibson of Franklin, KY, 2 grandchildren; Holly Weems (Jeff), Paula Reels (Sean Kemper), 4 great-grandchildren; Landon, Presley, Lizzy and Zac.

Charles was the oldest member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.  He was a farmer and was formerly a foreman at American Tobacco Company and had worked at the ASCS office.
