Carol Jean (Hanley) Bilbrey

Ms. Carol Jean Bilbrey, age 77, of Franklin, KY passed away Monday, December 28th, 2020 at 9:30 AM at her residence.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home, Franklin, KY.  Visitation will be held on Friday, January 1st, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 1, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sulphur Spring Cemetery in Simpson County.

Carol was born on January 5th, 1943 in Simpson County to the late John Harlan Hanley and the late Mary Elizabeth Gore Hanley.  She is also preceded in death by a brother, Ronald “Ronnie” Hanley.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Deborah “Debbie” Roberts (Johnny) of Franklin, KY and Sheila “Denice” Wilson (Scott) of Franklin, KY;  4 grandchildren, Kristin Michelle Haney, Misty Dawn Casteel, Kayla Elizabeth Arthur and Robert Montana Arthur; 7 great-grandchildren, Brittanie Lear, Tyler Wayne Hester, Haley Dawn Hester, Cheyenne Alexus Haney, Megan Carol Jo Haney, Mya Elizabeth Arthur and Leah Kaye Arthur; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Wyatt Lee Casteel, Cassie Michelle Lear; 2 sisters, Patsy Estes (Norman) of Auburn, KY and Marilyn Condiff of Bowling Green, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Carol was a member of Piper’s Chapel Baptist Church in Portland, TN.  She was employed by the Kendall Company for 37 years.  She loved her grandchildren dearly.
